Community guidelines

Last updated: October 9, 2026

RestaurantApp is above all a private diary. What you share with other people is your choice, entry by entry. These guidelines apply to whatever leaves the private space: what you share with friends, what's public, comments and your profile.

What is not allowed

  • Harassment, threats or attacks aimed at a person.
  • Hate speech based on origin, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity.
  • Sexually explicit content, and any sexual content involving minors — which is also reported to the authorities.
  • Graphic violence or its glorification.
  • Impersonating another person or a business.
  • Spam, covert advertising, and fake or paid reviews.
  • Posting other people's personal data without their permission.
  • Photos you don't have the rights to.

What you can do

  • Block someone from their profile. They stop seeing your content and you stop seeing theirs, the friendship ends and they disappear from your searches. It takes effect immediately and they are not notified.
  • Report an entry or a profile from its menu. The report includes what is being reported, the reason and anything you want to add.
  • Remove a tag someone put on you, which also removes your access to that meal.

What happens with a report

A person reviews it. The target is 72 hours, and less when what's reported affects someone's safety. Depending on the case, the response ranges from doing nothing —because it doesn't break the rules— to removing the content, hiding it or closing the account. Whoever filed the report doesn't get the details of the decision: that would say more about the other person than is needed.

If you think a decision about your content was wrong, write to maty892010@gmail.com and it will be looked at again.

Emergencies

If someone's safety is at immediate risk, contact the authorities in your country before contacting us. This is a food diary, not an emergency service.
